The ride: The Modernist Society presents a road
rally in celebration of Chicago Architecture. Motorcycles, scooters,
and roadsters are invited to congregate at Jinx cafe, from which
we will embark on a two-hour tour highlighting Modern and New Internationalist
buildings.

party: The Modernist Society continues its tradition of
monthly revelry on the second Sunday of each month with resident

Jen Hughes of Minneapolis. Architecture enthusiasts, motorcycle

to the Darkroom this Sunday, May 9th with "Fuck Art, Let's
Fuck." Jason Pickleman, graphic designer to the stars, will
be our guest DJ. If you've seen him work the dance floor at previous
Modernist Society events, you can just imagine what he'll do behind
the turntables. Periodically, The Modernist's founders Eric &
Jason will get up there play their usual (but eternally fabulous)
mix of rock, soul, disco & punk.
This is a big weekend in Chicago with both Art
Chicago and The
Stray Show going on, so Sunday's sure to be chaos. Actually,
if you're at the Stray Show, please stop by and say hello. We'll
be hanging out with all the other fine publications.
